Back Sacada and Gancho

This week we bring you another Back Sacada from Katrin to Jorge, this time accompanied by a Gancho also from Katrin to Jorge.

The purpose of this sequence is to challenge our balance at the end of the Sacada, as it is a back cross followed by an open step which is usually done in double time, and in order to do the Gancho we need to have control of the speed and direction of the Sacada. opening and not “fall” into it.

Katrin’s Movements
  • OPEN STEP – counterclockwise
  • OPEN STEP – clockwise
  • PIVOT – clockwise
  • BACK CROSS – clockwise
  • OPEN STEP – clockwise
  • GANCHO – clockwise
Jorge’s Movements
  • OPEN STEP – clockwise
  • FRONT CROSS – clockwise
  • PIVOT – clockwise
  • OPEN STEP – clockwise

Watch the sequence with all the steps and how they are connected to create this sequence in the video down below.

Practice and tel us how it went in the comment section.

We have online classes where we also explain all the technical details to make it comfortably in a Lead-Follow dynamic, not just choreographically.
