We insist with the “Salida del ’40” because we really like it, specially the suspension in the back cross of the follower.
After last Sunday class we notice that the suspension is actually not so easy, revisiting this famous salida will give our student the chance to get it right.
Tell me in the comments if you know this “Salidas“:
- Salida Paralela
- Salida Cruzada
- Salida del ’40
They have something in common, all of them have inside its structure the Giro Code/Código de Giro.
Because we want to put the focus on the suspension we didn’t change the structure, we only change the kind of front cross that the follower do close to the end of the sequence, usually know as the 5th step of the Salida.
We change it from an milonguero style to something less milonguero 😉
This is the list of movement that we do in the sequence:
Katrin’s Movements
- OPEN STEP – counterclockwise
- PIVOT – counterclockwise
- BACK CROSS – counterclockwise
- OPEN STEP – counterclockwise
- FRONT CROSS – counterclockwise
- PIVOT – counterclockwise
Jorge’s Movements
- OPEN STEP – clockwise
- PIVOT – counterclockwise
- OPEN STEP – counterclockwise
- PIVOT – counterclockwise
- PARADA – counterclockwise
And now the video with the combinations and how they sincronice to create the sequence.
We hope you like it, let us know your thoughts in the comment section and if you like to see more Tango Sequences, please visit the related post or our YouTube Channel with more than 100 original sequences.
We have online classes where we explain all the technical details to make it comfortably with a Lead-Follow dynamic, not just choreographically, therefore you can actually dance it.
See you next week with more Pasitos !!!
